This year the Westby Norsemen Boys Basketball team coached by Bob Constalie went 26-2 this season. They made it to the finals with a win over Glennwood city who was undefeated going into the state tourney. In the finals Westby met the also undefeated Racine St. Cathrine Angels. Led by Reggie Bunch St. Cats destroyed Westby by the highest margin of victory ever in a state final game. However unlike St.Cats we don't recruit and rely only on the hardwork of our "homegrown" talent there for we are the PUBLIC SCHOOL CHAMPS.
Westby has only advanced to the State tourney 3 times including this years state run. The first 2 times Westby was knocked off in the first game at state. However this year Westby set a record by beating Glenwood city and advancing to the state finals. Also in doing so was the Best Public school in the state of Wisconsin in the year of 2006!!! PUBLIC SCHOOL CHAMPS!!
